PRIVACY POLICY

Your privacy, in plain language.

Last updated August 21, 2026. This policy explains how Vanity Board handles information when you use the website.

Information you provide

We may collect information you choose to provide, such as an email address when you subscribe, contact us, request a correction, or exercise a privacy right. Please do not send sensitive information unless it is necessary and requested through an appropriate process.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we and our service providers may receive technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, and timestamps. Cookies, web beacons, local storage, or similar technologies may support security, preferences, analytics, and advertising.

Your skincare profile and unfinished community-story draft may be saved in local storage so they can be restored on a later visit. You can remove these copies by resetting the relevant form or clearing browser data.

Advertising and Google services

We may use Google products, including Google AdSense and analytics services. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this site or other websites. Google's advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to serve ads based on those visits. Other third-party ad vendors or networks may also use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar identifiers for ad serving and measurement. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

How we use information

We may use information to operate and secure the site, deliver requested communications, understand site performance, improve content and products, measure advertising, comply with law, and respond to questions or rights requests.

When information is shared

Information may be shared with vendors that provide hosting, analytics, email, security, advertising, and other services; with professional advisers; in connection with a business transaction; or when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights, or prevent harm. We do not promise that data used for cross-context behavioral advertising is never considered “sharing” under an applicable state privacy law.

Your choices

You can use browser controls to limit cookies and review our Cookie Policy. You may opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings and learn about additional industry choices at AboutAds. Where required, the site will provide consent or opt-out controls for personalized advertising and certain data uses. Before personalized ads are served to visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we plan to use a Google-certified consent management platform. Applicable U.S. state rights may include access, correction, deletion, and opting out of certain sale, sharing, or targeted advertising.

Retention and security

We retain information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and security. No online system is completely secure, but we use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information handled.

Children

Vanity Board is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a new date. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to contact@vanityboard.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line.
